Our Program
A Place for Every Musician
We offer ensembles for students ages 9 to 19 (grades 4–12) at every level of experience. Our Beginning Band welcomes students with no prior musical background, while our Concert Band serves those with some experience. Advanced musicians can audition for Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, or Concert Choir.
Instrumental instruction focuses on developing skills on woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments, learning to read music, and working together to play musically. Choral instruction develops the musical ear and the voice as an instrument. Students may begin on any instrument, at any age, and advance to more challenging ensembles as their skills grow.
Students enrolled in our program are eligible to participate in the North Carolina Christian School Association’s All-State Band, the NC Central All-District Bands, and the NC All-State Band sponsored by the Music Educators of North Carolina. Advanced musicians are also eligible for national awards in Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Choir.
We do not require families to belong to any particular homeschool association or hold any previous memberships. However, students must be enrolled in a registered homeschool in the state of North Carolina.
Vision & Mission
Why We Exist
Our vision is to provide exemplary music education to homeschool families in a Christ-centered environment — to the glory of God and for the enrichment of our community, our state, our country, and the world.
Our mission is to provide music enrichment to the homeschool community through quality classroom instruction and performance opportunities. We are committed to developing comprehensive musicianship in a spiritually nurturing environment.
This includes proper technique and care of the instrument, reading music, producing characteristic tone, articulation, note and scale mastery, as well as understanding music terminology and symbols. Carefully selected band literature is the foundation through which musicianship is developed.
Our GUIDING Passage
Psalm 150
Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!
Praise him with trumpet sound;
praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!

Our Foundation
Guiding Principles
As a Christian organization, we want to be clear about the beliefs on which our program is founded. We ask each participating family to review these principles and affirm their willingness to honor them.
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is God’s written revelation to man — verbally inspired, authoritative, and without error in the original manuscripts.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His redemption of man, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His present ministry of intercession for us, and His return to earth in power and glory. We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit, who performs the miracle of rebirth in the unbeliever and indwells believers, enabling them to live a godly life.
We believe in a literal interpretation of the book of Genesis — that the creation of the world came by the word of God and not through the process of evolution, and that man and woman were created in His image and by His design.
We believe man was created in the image of God but, because of sin, was alienated from God. That alienation can be removed only by accepting, by grace through faith alone, God’s gift of salvation, which was made possible by Christ’s death.
